September 7th
The days are beautiful back home, but the road was good too. There’s an atmosphere to the whole thing; not just on stage but on the bus. We have fun! Hey, a good and wise friend of mine. Lili Townsend calls herself a “Minister of Fun†and her motto is – “If it’s not fun, don’t do it, if you must do it, make it fun.†I can’t help thinking that the Dalai Lama would agree.
Anyway, we played some good shows. Arnulf stepped in as new bass player and did a fine job and Berit and Geoff were as stunning as ever.
Now I am gearing up for the tour in the Fall. It’s billed as “A special acoustic evening†And special is what I am working on. It won’t be a folky thing – more post modern I hope. The talented Mr Lindner plays a plethora of instruments, so we will be creating a lot of textures and feels, and many of the songs will take on new incarnations. By the way, I haven’t chosen the setlist, so any requests, please send them to me here!
I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the road in October, November.
By the way, does anyone know who is twittering under my name??
Peace and love
Heather
